Ashin Mettacara is a 27-year-old Buddhist monk from Burma who is blogging and contributing with the aim of spreading news to the whole world about the crisis in Burma.

He created a progressive news weblog , and he won the Best Asian Blog for 2008.

He is not part of any political group, association or organization. He is helping all the groups who are working for freedom of belief and expression. His motto is,

"Working for equality is human values".

This weblog is more than a website or blog . This is a progressive news weblog. Ashin Mettacara's weblog has some unique features no other progressive sites have such as being one of the 4500 websites approved by Google news and NewsNow therefore all articles are crawled by Google and NewsNow.
